Crystal Symphony Review December 5th – 12th

Cruising is more than just a vacation, it’s an all-inclusive experience and recently we were able to discover this on the Crystal Symphony from Crystal Cruises .

Departing from Los Angeles our vacation began as soon as we set foot aboard the Crystal Symphony. Our first thoughts of the ship were that it took us back to the “golden” age of cruising on great sized ships that were much easier to navigate around with less passengers and more crew to accomodate our every wish.

While sailing aboard the Crystal Symphony, we had many dining options to choose from. Our favorite restaurant was Crystal Dining Room though. I had the best meals of my life!  Everything was delicious and it was best creme brule I have ever had.  The two speciality restaurants Prego and Silk Road were also good.. but still the main dining room was my favorite.

There is no end to the onboard entertainment. From intimate lounges and late-night clubs to award-winning theaters and comedy skits, cruise entertainment has enough variety to keep anyone entertained.  We saw every show every night (which is a first for me) the singers and dancers were wonderful and they had a great Magician and a Pianist/Comedian on other nights.  The casino though was dangerous! At least though our drinks were complimentary while we were gambling.

While we could’ve stayed on the Crystal Symphony for the entire trip, we took some time to explore the ports of Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. Some of the shore excursions offered by Crystal Cruises were ones that we had previosly done so in Cabo and Puerto Vallarta we just shopped.  We participated though in Mazatlan on a drive into the Sierra Madres though to visit old quaint Mexican villages off the beaten track and thought that while the drive was long, the scenary was worth it.

The service for this cruise was second to none. Everyone made you feel extra special and by the 2nd day many came up to you and called you by name!

Overall, sailing aboard the Crystal Symphony was an experience I will never forget. One of my most memorable moments was having lunch the very first day and feasting on Filet Mignon in the dining room, I knew right then and there I was in for the time of my life! I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone who loves great food, excellent entertainment and wants to thoroughly relax and enjoy yourself.
